Nomadic spirit, travel suggestions, inspirations from faraway lands: protagonist of a story that recalls the magic of India, Middle East and ancient cities along the Silk Road, Babel represents Etro Home Interior’s most intimate and profound essence. Elected symbol of the new collection, this iconic piece of furniture has a shape reminiscent of that of a foldable travel chair, while still maintaining a refined, luxurious throne-like form. A style that expresses at the same time contemporaneity and eclecticism, all enriched by a touch of irony, the tale of travel emphasised by the symbolic presence of a suitcase, a trusted companion to the distant lands so dear to the brand.

The power of symbolic language is expressed through the masterful use of fabrics and of the brand’s quintessential pattern, Paisley, a motif whose origins are lost in the mists of time, recalling the shape of the date palm sprout and the idea of the tree of life. In an alternative and equally suggestive version, Suzani fabric is the protagonist, with its characteristic embroideries recalling the weaves of the silk road and the influences of the nomadic decorative repertoire. A third variant in Prince of Wales tells the brand's colonial spirit, in a mix of British suggestions and timeless elegance. The unprecedented combination of warm fabrics and the bright metal structure with polished brass decorations contribute to express the multifaceted spirit of the brand.
